Coaches, if you haven’t joined us yet, plan to participate! Visit the LEAF project site for details.
The LEAF STEM Challenge is a hands-on, standards-based, program for grades 6-12 that engages students in creating solutions to real-world problems. In this engineering design challenge, students work in teams to design the aircraft that will successfully carry out a particular task.
Join us to participate in this curriculum module that will bring aerospace alive in your classroom! This workshop is open to both formal and informal educators who are interested in teaching this high-interest curriculum to students in grades 6-12.
During the workshop, participants will experience the curriculum and design, build and fly their won airplanes. Workshop registration includes Washington state clock hours, lunch, curriculum materials and airplane supplies for one adult participant.
Did you miss this year’s workshop? Your students can still participate. Visit the LEAF Challenge page for help getting started!
