Summer STEM Activities Board- August

There are so many STEM activities that can be done at home, without any special equipment! And here are 30 of them for the month of August.

As you work with your child to explore these STEM activities, be sure to let your young scientist or engineer take the lead. All of the STEM starters on the activity board are ideas that your child can explore. Complete them all or just pick a few.

Remember as you work with your child:

Be flexible. Kids are naturally curious and creative, so be prepared to go with the flow. If your child gets bored with one activity, try something else.
Make it fun. STEM activities should be enjoyable for both you and your child. If they’re not having fun, they’re not likely to learn anything.
Be patient. It takes time for kids to learn new things. Don’t get discouraged if they don’t get it right away. Just keep practicing and they’ll eventually get there.
